I launched the Drappier Family’s champagne in the Channel Islands just before the Millennium celebrations. I am now their exclusive supplier in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. Their wines are incomparable and were a favourite of President Charles de Gaulle. Drappier is a family owned company based in the Aube region. They offer an amazing range of champagnes, including a Zero Dosage with no added sugar.

The Lieubeau family, based in Chateau Thebaud make some delightful Muscadets and I.G.T. wines from the Loire. These include Sauvignon Blanc Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir. Muscadet is a traditional and ideal accompaniment to fish, shell fish, white meats and soft cheeses. New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs are far too fruity for crustaceans.

I have a man in Burgundy who knows all the growers and finds me small parcels from the best Vignerons.  Buying Burgundy can be a minefield. Many great names and famous areas can disappoint but my carefully chosen wines don’t! My Pinot Noirs sing, my Chardonnays are subtle and complex and my Gamays are incredible

I have shipped wines from the sunny region of France for over twenty-five years. I am now dealing with my original supplier’s son. I ship a selection of wines, red, white and rose from areas such as St Chinian, Fitou and Corbiere.
